Dr. Megan Roberts is an ag economist at Compeer Financial. Previously, Megan’s career focused on teaching ag economics and business in higher ed settings, from teaching and directing ag programs in the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system, to serving as an educator in University of Minnesota Extension. She holds a doctorate of agricultural education from Texas A&M University, and a masters and bachelors focused on agriculture from the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities. She has written numerous farm-related articles and spoken regularly on ag policy and business topics. Megan lives on a farrow-to-finish hog, corn, and soybean farm in southern Minnesota with her husband and son. From her roots growing up on a dairy farm to her current farm ownership, she has a unique combination of academic and on-the-ground farm experience. |

Kevin Van Trump is founder and CEO of Farm Direction and author of The Van Trump Report. He co-founded FARMCON and hosts the Highly Volatile podcast. With more than 15 years tracking grain markets, margins and trade flows, Kevin leverages real-time data and economic modeling to help producers navigate price volatility. Growing up in central Illinois on family row-crop acreage, Kevin saw first-hand how market shifts affect farm profitability. He holds degrees in agricultural economics and business, and has been an advisor for ag startups, trade organizations and grain marketing boards. Kevin lives in Illinois, where he continues to analyze trends, speak at industry events, serve as an angel investor and coach young farmers in strategic marketing. |
Perry Aasness |
Vice president of legislative affairs, Compeer Financial |
As vice president of legislative affairs for Compeer Financial, Perry Aasness leads the organization’s government relations efforts, shaping policy positions and offering insight into legislation that impacts agricultural operations. He previously served in leadership roles including legislative aide, state and federal agency positions and with national agricultural organizations. Perry’s background includes work with USDA’s Farm Service Agency, state departments of agriculture-and producer-focused organizations. He lives in Woodbury, Minnesota with his wife and three children. Outside of policy work, Perry is active in community agriculture boards and regional workshops that help producers understand regulatory and trade policies. |

Bill Moore |
Chief risk officer, Compeer Financial |
Bill Moore is chief risk officer at Compeer Financial, where he oversees credit underwriting, enterprise risk and risk-related policy across the organization. He helps set strategic direction for risk management, leads key committees and helps ensure risk posture aligns with market and regulatory changes.
He holds bachelor’s degrees in accounting and economics and the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation. Before joining Compeer, Bill worked in investment management and finance, specializing in market-driven risk assessment, and has advised on interest rate risk for agricultural lenders and operators. Bill lives in the Twin Cities area with his wife and they have two adult children. Outside of work, he enjoys outdoor activities, community service and sharing insights on finance and risk at industry forums. |

Tork and Sawyer Whisler are a father-son duo from southeast Iowa. Together, they run This’ll Do Farm, a sixth-generation hog operation. Tork brings decades of experience in both hog farming and swine facility construction, while Sawyer adds an entrepreneurial focus as the founder of Farmer Grade, a direct-to-consumer meat business.
Beyond the farm, the Whislers connect with thousands through their Barn Talk Podcast and popular YouTube channel, offering an inside look at modern hog production and rural life. Their mix of transparency, humor and practical insight has made them trusted voices for both farmers and consumers. |
